Scott Cawood is the president of ModernThink, an innovative research and consulting firm dedicated to accelerating business growth by intentionally shaping how you do business on the inside so it maximizes the business you do on the outside. Through his work at ModernThink, Scott partners with companies interested in building and sustaining a business model that is externally informed and internally driven so that both the employees and the customers benefit from a people-focused workplace.
 
As a leader in researching and consulting on issues in the workplace, ModernThink currently selects the “best places to work” for many states, including Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Maine, Oklahoma, Texas, Connecticut, Colorado, Hawaii, West Virginia, and Indiana.
 
Formerly Scott was vice president for the Great Place to Work Institute, the organization responsible for selecting the “100 Best Companies to Work for in America” which appears annually in Fortune magazine. Scott has also served as the vice president for global talent management at Revlon and a human resources leader at W. L. Gore & Associates, one of only five companies to have made the “100 Best Companies” list every year since its inception and currently the number “5” best place to work on Fortune’s list.
 
As an internationally recognized speaker and expert on workplace issues, Scott has consulted and presented to audiences throughout the world on topics relevant to creating a sustainable and profitable business. Scott is named one of the National Society of Human Resources (SHRM) “Top Ten” speakers and is frequently interviewed for current trends in the workplace.
 
Scott’s organizational development experience also includes an extensive focus on building strategies for organizational alignment and accelerated business growth. Scott holds a Ph.D. in business administration, with a cognate in organizational behavior and works with companies across all industries to align their human capital with the business and build great organizations where people want to work.
