Gordon Plutsky - Director of Marketing & Research With nearly two decades of experience in media, marketing and research, Gordon has a track record of success across all media platforms in building brands, marketing face-to-face events and creating compelling research.
At King Fish, Gordon works with our many clients on the marketing and messaging of their Private Media programs, in addition to creating audience development and market research solutions. Gordon is also responsible for the King Fish brand message, advertising and public relations.
His previous position was Group Marketing Director for the CMP Channel Group, responsible for marketing CRN/VARBusiness, channelweb.com and webcasts. He was also responsible for CRN and VARBusiness’ branded face-to-face events, doubling the revenue and profitability over four years.
Prior to CMP Media, Gordon was Executive Director of Marketing and Research at Ziff Davis Media, heading up the marketing and research function of PC Magazine, eWeek, and Smart Business. Gordon represented Ziff Davis with the major research suppliers, and often worked closely with Ziff Davis’ largest accounts creating custom research. Earlier at Ziff Davis, he was the Marketing and Research Director of PC Magazine, and managed market research for PCWeek.
Outside the office Gordon enjoys politics, sports, music, cooking and reading history. He is a devoted fan of the NY Mets and Jets, and would like to see each of them win one more championship in his lifetime.
Fun Facts: Gordon has a black belt in karate and has taken courses at the Culinary Institute of America.
