Custom Publishing Council Announces King Fish Media as Gold Pearl Award Winner for its Ducklings Campaign
SALEM, MA – December 5, 2006 – King Fish Media™, leaders in Private Media™ solutions, is proud to announce recent recognition by the Custom Publishing Council (CPC) for excellence in its integrated marketing and multimedia campaign launched on behalf of Albertsons, Inc.
Sponsored by the Custom Publishing Council, the Pearl Awards are given for excellence in the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies built around custom publishing. The CPC is the leading professional organization representing custom publishers in North America. The ceremony, which took place in New York last month, is an annual event.

The campaign launched on Albertson’s behalf is comprised of the ducklings publication as well as a number of other outreach programs, including Baby Steps, a five-part booklet series spanning a newborn’s first 24-months and tracking the wellness issues facing developing children, and Savings Sampler, an off-cycle magazine supplement delivered quarterly to ducklings readers. A recent readership survey conducted by King Fish is measuring reader interests, and will help adjust editorial content for future issues.
The Pearl awards recognize design, editorial and strategic initiatives for B2B and consumer custom publications. Four hundred and fifty-five entries were received this year for magazines, newsletters, and websites published for clients including the U.S. Postal Service, cable companies, medical institutions, retailers, health care companies, sports teams, airlines, law firms, and real estate developers.
