Salem’s “Haunted Passport” on Sale Today, Encourages Tourists to Visit Salem, MassachusettsInnovative affinity program designed by King Fish Media® offers discounts and benefits to visitors
Salem Mass., September 6, 2007 – The City of Salem, Massachusetts and King Fish Media today announced that the Haunted Passport, an affinity program that offers discounts and benefits to visitors of the city, is officially on sale at www.hauntedpassport.com. The passport program is effective from October 1, 2007 to April 30, 2008 to encourage visitors to come to Salem during America’s #1 Halloween celebration and throughout the year.
The passport offers unprecedented benefits and savings to tourists and visitors coming to Salem for a seven month period. Nearly 80 local businesses, including tourist attractions, fine dining, retailers and antique shops, are participating with offers that represent a total savings of more than $350. A partial list of participants include: The Witch Museum, The Salem Wax Museum, Spellbound Tours, The New England Pirate Museum, The Witch Dungeon Museum, The Salem Waterfront Hotel, The Peabody Essex Museum, A Passage to India, City View Trolley, Salem Cinema, The Boston Hot Dog Company, Cilantro, Harbor Sweets, Strega, Body and Soul and Crunchy Granola Baby. The passports will also be sold in Salem during the month of October at the National Park Service Visitor Center on Essex Street; at Feed Your Head Books, 272 Essex Street; and at the Salem Ferry locations in Salem, Quincy and Boston. The Haunted Passports are $13.00 each. Children under the age of 13 are covered by an adult holding a valid Haunted Passport.
