King Fish Becomes SCORE Publishing ArmSalem, MA—March, 2003—SCORE, a non-profit association featuring 10,500 volunteer counselors, provides a host of services for startups and emerging companies. Its mission to help educate entrepreneurs includes the annual development of such materials as the How to Start Your Own Business and How to Really Structure Your Business publications for its 400,000 to 500,000 small business clients. In need of a turnkey solution for creating and distributing these materials, SCORE turned to King Fish as its publishing arm.
"The publications are designed to give early-stage businesses a better idea of the what they need to consider to grow," says Brad Ketchum III, King Fish’s Director of Marketing & Sales. "While we enjoy the aspect of creating content, or utilizing Inc.-branded content for SCORE projects, we’re truly gratified to be making a difference for this non-profit group by helping it establish the relationships that help further its goals. For example, we assisted in the development of SCORE relationships with the Kauffman Foundation and The Company Corporation, both of which help underwrite the publications. We’re excited to be working on a new publication on cash flow management, sponsored by First Data. The opportunity to forward a mission like SCORE’s is important to King Fish."
