Gordon Plutsky, Director of Marketing and Research, King Fish Media

 

Gordon has a track record of success across all custom media platforms in building brands, live events and web casts; and market research.   He also writes and edits the King Fish Think Tank blog and is a guest contributor to several marketing web sites, blogs and conferences. 

 

At King Fish, Gordon works with clients on the marketing and messaging of their private custom media programs, in addition to creating audience development and market research solutions. Gordon is also responsible for the King Fish brand message, marketing and public relations.

 

Previously, he was Group Marketing Director for the CMP Channel Group (now Everything Channel), responsible for marketing CRN, VARBusiness, channelweb.com, face to face events and webcasts.

 

Prior to CMP, Gordon was Executive Director of Marketing and Research at Ziff Davis Media, where he headed the marketing and research function of PC Magazine, eWeek, and Smart Business.  Earlier at Ziff Davis, he was the Marketing and Research Director of PC Magazine and managed market research for PCWeek.  Gordon has a B.S from the University at Albany, an MBA from Northeastern University and completed Stanford Business School’s executive program in marketing.

 

Gordon lives with his wife north of Boston. Outside the office he enjoys politics, cross fit training, music, cooking and reading history.

 

Fun Facts: Gordon has a black belt in karate and has taken courses at the Culinary Institute of America.
