Everybody loves Tanya. She’s fun, funny and she knows how to get stuff done, including raking up tons of national awards for our clients. And we won’t lie: The big bowl of candy on her desk doesn't hurt her popularity.

So what exactly does a Senior Account Manager do?
It’s my job to get inside the heads of our clients to truly understand their goals and objectives, and communicate them to our internal team. I manage schedules, work flow, and ensure that projects are on time and on budget. But, hands down, the most important goal, for me, is to make our clients look good by delivering results, so that they turn to King Fish for future projects. Plus, I just like being liked.
Now how would you explain that to your five-year-old niece?
Imagine juggling five torches, while hopping on one foot, drinking lemonade, and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Backwards. That’s what Aunt Tanya does every day.
Walk us through a typical day.
Greet coworkers. Caffeinate. Status meetings, client calls, strategy sessions, beta sites, beta blockers, routing, shouting, laughing, rinse, repeat.
You felt you deserved a big fat raise the day you...
...had to cajole the “diva of all models” to run on a muddy, wet trail to showcase all-terrain running shoes for a photo shoot. She was not happy. But secretly, I kind of was.
What’s your approach to client relationships?
Establishing a solid client relationship is probably the most important part of my job. In this role, it’s critical to be adaptable, and have a good sense of what will work best for each client. Keeping things in perspective — and keeping a sense humor — are essential.
What would my colleagues say?
They’re just happy that I keep a bowl of candy on my desk.
If someone met you, they’d probably never guess...
That I once danced in a Super Bowl.
Would you shave your head for $1,000?
Triple the zeroes and ask me again.
The best thing a client ever said to you was...
“We love it! Let’s do more!”
Why do you think clients like working with you?
I think clients respond well to an upbeat and positive attitude — and the ability to make a deadline-driven, multi-faceted project a little fun.
The kind of client you love working with is...
I’m an equal-opportunity client lover.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Honest. Reliable. Ambidextrous (not really, I just like that word).
The thing you wish people understood about you is...
I like long walks on the beach, unicorns, and skipping in the rain. I’m also a little sarcastic.
